Summer make up look

Summer make up look

So today I haven’t got a Cuba blog post, I wanted to do something different for a small change. I feel like the posts about my holiday can get a bit boring at times wich is why I wanted to do something a little different. And I really enjoy doing posts about make up so! I hope you all enjoy this post, and let me know in the comments what you though.

A few weeks ago I came up with this ‘summer make up look’ which I’m really liking at the Minuit so I wanted to share it with everyone. For me a summer look is all, about colour. Like a bright red or pink lip. And bright eye shadow. So that’s what this looks all about. I hope you enjoy.

Recently I’ve been avoiding wearing foundation. Mostly because the colour doesn’t match my skin because of my tan but also because I’m trying really hard to give my skin a little break from time to time. But instead of wearing foundation.IMG_8648 I just go for a little bit of concealer under my eyes and around my forehead and cheeks. The concealer I’m using at the Minuit is the Rimmel London wake me up concealer. And I blend this out with my old damp beauty blender, which I need to get a new one of! Desperately…

Then just to give a little more coverage I put a layer of hello flawless powder from benefit.IMG_8644 For me this is literally a life saver! It helps just give your skin the clear matte effect, which I really like. And I blend this out with this litttle brush, which I got from my number 7 beauty advent calendar last year.

Then for my eyebrows I’m still using my trusty goof proof benefit brow pencil. IMG_8659I swear that I go on about it all the time but I seriously love it so much. I start by brushing ,my brows into the shape I want, then fill them in, then brush the colour through. Hopefully that all made sense.

Then for a little bit of contour/bronzer. IMG_8645The reason I put it like that is because it is more of a bronzer but I use it as a contour. I mean it basically does the same thing. And I use a few different ones. Although my favourite would have to be the one out of the highlight and sculpt kit, which I got from Superdrug. As you can see though, it’s seen better days! Sorry about that.

Then I do my highlight. I start by using this Liquid one that I got from wish. IMG_8651Wish is this online shopping app which you download from the App Store. I’ll admit that when I ordered this I was a little bit doubtful that it would actually work, but honestly it’s amazing.

But just to give it a bit more definition I add a bit of my kiko highlight over the top.IMG_8647 Well it’s a eyeshadow really, but I find it makes a really good highlight. And to blend these I again use my broken beauty blender, and a fan brush. And as you can see, my highlight has also most run out. Sad face! * And i couldn’t find my highlighter to get a picture of! Sorry!

Now for the eyes, I love doing eye make up!IMG_8654 So for my coppery summer look i start by using the lightest colour in the pallet below. Then I just move up adding darker colours until it’s all blend through and creates a smokey eye look. I tend to but the dark brown copper colour under my eye, to give it more definition. Honestly this is my favourite look at the moment! Hands down!

For my eyeliner I use my usual Rimmel London one. IMG_8661This is by far the best. It’s so easy to use. I did get a mac eyeliner the other but I just couldn’t use it. It didn’t work for me.

I use two different mascaras. IMG_8667First I put on my number 7 volume one on, top and bottom lashes. Then my mac one over the top of that. And it creates amazing, fuller longer looking lashes. It makes your eyes pop out. Dramatic!

Lastly I put on a bit of lipstick. For this I use this number 7 one. IMG_8666It’s a nice mix between red and orange, so it’s very summery.  And so I feel like it just completes the look.

Okayyy, so that’s my current summer look. I hope you all liked this post and sorry it went up a bit later than usual! See you later,

17 days!?

17 days!?

Just in case you were wondering, no I haven’t quit this blog. I know it’s been 17 days since my last post but I do have a reason. For one my laptop is still not fixed but hopefully that will be done soon then I can get back to writing properly. And I was writing some posts on my ipad but that’s stopped working now to. Just my luck. But that’s getting fixed at the minuet and should be done on the next few days. Thank god for my brothers laptop! But I’m going to have some pretty exciting travel blogs coming soon. I’m going to wales this weekend so I will do a blog all about that. And that will be done next Sunday or Saturday. I might do one each day but I haven’t decided yet so let me know what you would all like. And then the week after I’m going to Tenerife so there are going to be a lot of blogs about that. And there are 2 four hour plane rides involved so that’s going to be a lot of time to write blog posts!

So as I said there are some blogs coming up (as soon as I get my ipad back on Thursday), so don’t forget to check back for them. And I promise that on Friday my shopping haul, that I must have been promising for around 133334 years, is going to be posted. It has been scheduled!

Lots of love,

Easter cupcakes.

Easter cupcakes.

Sorry I didn’t upload a post Yesterday! I had one all finished and scheduled but it didn’t publish. But i have got a post today. One on my easter themed cupcakes. Let me know in the comments what you think and any good recipes you know.

Makes 12 muffin sized cakes.

  • 200g of butter or margarine.
  • 200g of sugar, any type is fine.
  • 200g of self raising flour.
  • 2 medium sized eggs.
  • 25g of coco powder.
  • 1/2 a table spoon of baking powder.
  • 1/4 of a table spoon of vanilla extract.
  • A few drops of milk.

For the icing and topping.

  • 100g of butter.
  • 300g of icing sugar.
  • 1/2 a tablespoon of vanilla extract.
  • 15g of coco powder.
  • 1 packet of mini eggs.
  • A few drops of milk.

Method.

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. And line a 12 hole muffin tray with 12 cases.
  2. In a mixing bowl mix together your sugar and butter until it’s fluffy and pale.
  3. Then you can add in your eggs one at a time. Don’t worry if it looks a little bit  stodgy , it will work.Trust me!
  4. Once thats all been mixed together add in your flour bit by bit.
  5. Then put in the rest of your ingredients, the coco powder, baking powder, vanilla extract and milk.
  6. Divivd your mixture equally between the cases and bake in the centre of the oven for 15-20 minuets. Or until they are bouncy to the touch.
  7. While they are cooking and cooling you can begin to make your buttercream icing. Start by beating your butter for a good 5 minuets. You want it to be either a very pale yellow or a white colour.
  8. Then you can gradually add in your icing sugar. I would recommend mixing it with a folk to stop it from going all over the place.
  9. If it’s a little bit thick then you can add in a drop or to of milk.
  10. Divid the icing between to bowls. Then in one add the coco powder, and in the other add in vanilla extract.
  11. Now you can really do want you want. I put both in a piping bag and piped it onto the cakes to get this multi coloured effect. With a different flavour. But you can do want you want. However i would recommend not putting it on until your cakes are completely cool, otherwise it will just melt.
  12. Then on top you can add a few mini eggs, to give it that easter vibe!

Lots of love,

Summer into Autumn

Summer into Autumn

Hello Everyone,

In today’s post I wanted to basically moan about how it’s almost Autumn and summers almost over! But instead I’m going to tell you all the GOOD things about it being Autumn soon.

So the first thing is obviously the fashion. I personally love Autumn fashion. All the knit wear jumpers and jeans, tan Chelsea boots. Ugh I just love it.

And the fact that when Autumn comes it means it’s nearly winter and that means it’s nearly christmas! And christmas is just the best holiday.

Autumny scented candles. I absolutely love scented candles but the autumn scents are by far the best! Let me knowing the comments if you know of any good scented candles!

The colours! All the burnt oranges, reds, and brows. They are all so so so pretty. Don’t you all just love it when you are on a long walk amongst all the trees?!

Anyway that’s all for today’s post. Below I attached some of my favourite Autumn pics, I have these as all my screen savers.

Don’t forget to follow our instagram, MilalorOfficial_15    Come back tomorrow at 13:30 GMT for another post!

Bye for now,

Milalor xx
