17 days!?

17 days!?

Just in case you were wondering, no I haven’t quit this blog. I know it’s been 17 days since my last post but I do have a reason. For one my laptop is still not fixed but hopefully that will be done soon then I can get back to writing properly. And I was writing some posts on my ipad but that’s stopped working now to. Just my luck. But that’s getting fixed at the minuet and should be done on the next few days. Thank god for my brothers laptop! But I’m going to have some pretty exciting travel blogs coming soon. I’m going to wales this weekend so I will do a blog all about that. And that will be done next Sunday or Saturday. I might do one each day but I haven’t decided yet so let me know what you would all like. And then the week after I’m going to Tenerife so there are going to be a lot of blogs about that. And there are 2 four hour plane rides involved so that’s going to be a lot of time to write blog posts!

So as I said there are some blogs coming up (as soon as I get my ipad back on Thursday), so don’t forget to check back for them. And I promise that on Friday my shopping haul, that I must have been promising for around 133334 years, is going to be posted. It has been scheduled!

Lots of love,

Easter cupcakes.

Easter cupcakes.

Sorry I didn’t upload a post Yesterday! I had one all finished and scheduled but it didn’t publish. But i have got a post today. One on my easter themed cupcakes. Let me know in the comments what you think and any good recipes you know.

Makes 12 muffin sized cakes.

  • 200g of butter or margarine.
  • 200g of sugar, any type is fine.
  • 200g of self raising flour.
  • 2 medium sized eggs.
  • 25g of coco powder.
  • 1/2 a table spoon of baking powder.
  • 1/4 of a table spoon of vanilla extract.
  • A few drops of milk.

For the icing and topping.

  • 100g of butter.
  • 300g of icing sugar.
  • 1/2 a tablespoon of vanilla extract.
  • 15g of coco powder.
  • 1 packet of mini eggs.
  • A few drops of milk.

Method.

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. And line a 12 hole muffin tray with 12 cases.
  2. In a mixing bowl mix together your sugar and butter until it’s fluffy and pale.
  3. Then you can add in your eggs one at a time. Don’t worry if it looks a little bit  stodgy , it will work.Trust me!
  4. Once thats all been mixed together add in your flour bit by bit.
  5. Then put in the rest of your ingredients, the coco powder, baking powder, vanilla extract and milk.
  6. Divivd your mixture equally between the cases and bake in the centre of the oven for 15-20 minuets. Or until they are bouncy to the touch.
  7. While they are cooking and cooling you can begin to make your buttercream icing. Start by beating your butter for a good 5 minuets. You want it to be either a very pale yellow or a white colour.
  8. Then you can gradually add in your icing sugar. I would recommend mixing it with a folk to stop it from going all over the place.
  9. If it’s a little bit thick then you can add in a drop or to of milk.
  10. Divid the icing between to bowls. Then in one add the coco powder, and in the other add in vanilla extract.
  11. Now you can really do want you want. I put both in a piping bag and piped it onto the cakes to get this multi coloured effect. With a different flavour. But you can do want you want. However i would recommend not putting it on until your cakes are completely cool, otherwise it will just melt.
  12. Then on top you can add a few mini eggs, to give it that easter vibe!

Lots of love,

Summer into Autumn

Summer into Autumn

Hello Everyone,

In today’s post I wanted to basically moan about how it’s almost Autumn and summers almost over! But instead I’m going to tell you all the GOOD things about it being Autumn soon.

So the first thing is obviously the fashion. I personally love Autumn fashion. All the knit wear jumpers and jeans, tan Chelsea boots. Ugh I just love it.

And the fact that when Autumn comes it means it’s nearly winter and that means it’s nearly christmas! And christmas is just the best holiday.

Autumny scented candles. I absolutely love scented candles but the autumn scents are by far the best! Let me knowing the comments if you know of any good scented candles!

The colours! All the burnt oranges, reds, and brows. They are all so so so pretty. Don’t you all just love it when you are on a long walk amongst all the trees?!

Anyway that’s all for today’s post. Below I attached some of my favourite Autumn pics, I have these as all my screen savers.

Don’t forget to follow our instagram, MilalorOfficial_15    Come back tomorrow at 13:30 GMT for another post!

Bye for now,

Milalor xx
