So you all seemed to like our post about plates/braids (go check it out if you haven’t seen it yet) we thought that we’d do another post on hair but this time different hair styles. In this post we will be teaching you some quick and easy hair styles that take no time at all. We hope that you enjoy…
- HALF UP HALF DOWN For this hair style all you are going to need is a hair band! What you need to do is just simply take half of your hair from the top of your head and tie it together. That is literally it. I feel like this looks great with any hair length and if you have a fringe. From here you could also then wrap your hair thats in that little pony tail around just to build on it a bit more, this looks really effective!
- SIDE FISHTAIL PLATTE For the side fishtail platte all you are going to need is a hair band a few bobby pins. In our previous hair post it does explain how to do this but i thought that i’d go over it again anyway. So bring all of your hair to the side of your head. Now split it into 2 sections. Take a small piece of hair from the back of one section to the front of the other section. Keep repeating this until you have finished. When you finished just tie it with a hair tie and you are done. For added volume you can tug on the platte a bit. You might also need a few bobby pins just to hold it together a bit more.
- MILKMAID BRAID For the milkmaid braid you are going to need 2 clear elastic bands and some hair pins. To start this look you need to part your hair down the middle and bring the 2 sections to the front of your head. Start platting both the sections in a basic 2 strand platt. Now take 1 section and bring it over the top of your head all the way to the other side, pinning it in as you go. Then do the same to the other side trying to cross them over. Once you’ve secured it in give them a quick spritz with hair spray to ensure that the last all day. For this style its best to have longer hair just because it has to be able to reach the other side of the head. But there are ways to custom it for different hair lengths. For example you could add hair extensions if you have shorter hair that doesn’t quite reach.
- Messy bun. so for this you just tie you hair up in a pony tail, you can do this a any height you want, I like mine on the crown of my head. then twist the pony tail round into a bun and secure it with a hair tie. then pull on it to loosen it and pull little wispy stands out to create a messy look. Pin the bun till you are happy and there you go its done.
